Demands and needs statement
This product is designed to meet your demands and needs against
loss or damage whilst involved in a household/commercial removal by
Extons Removals.
Cover
Your property is covered from the time it is placed into the
care or under the control of Extons Removals until finally
delivered to you, subject to the terms and conditions and
exclusions of the insurance.
Sum Insured
The sum insured shall not exceed £ 10,000.00.
Basis for claims settlement
The age, quality, degree of use and consequent market value of
items will be taken into consideration when calculating any
settlements.
Parts and pairs
Where any items are part of a pair or set, Extons Removals will
only pay for the actual parts which are lost or damaged. No payment
will be made for articles that are not damaged.
Exclusions
No cover is provided for the following;
1) Jewellery, Watches, Precious stones, Money, Coins, Bullion,
Deeds, Bonds, Securities and stamps of all kind, Furs, Perfumery,
Tobacco, Cigars, Cigarettes, Wines, Spirits and the like, Mobile
phones, Explosives and Livestock.
2) Loss or damage caused by moth, insect or vermin.
3) Loss or damage to machines, equipment and furniture, where
moving parts have not been secured properly by the customer.
4) Loss or damage to plants or shrubs.
5) Loss or damage to self assembly kit Furniture.
6) Items not considered suitable for removal or not in a fit manor
to travel.
7) Loss or damage caused by leakage of liquid from a receptacle or
container unless packed by Extons Removals.
8) Electrical or mechanical derangement unless shown to be as a
result of physical external damage to the item concerned or as a
result of fire, flood, collision, or overturning of road
vehicles.
9) Loss of data records other than cost of blank data carrying
materials.
10) Any consequence of war, Invasion, Act of Foreign hostilities
(whether war be declared or not), Civil War, Rebellion, Revolution,
Insurrection or Military or Usurped power or confiscation or
nationalization or requisition or destruction of or damage to
property by or under the order of any government or public or local
authority.
11) Loss or damage from ionizing radiation or contamination by
radioactivity from any nuclear fuel or from any nuclear waste or
from the combustion of nuclear fuel.
The radioactive, toxic, or other hazardous or contaminating
properties of any radioactive installation, reactor or nuclear
assembly or nuclear component thereof.
Any weapon of war employing atomic or nuclear fission and/or fusion
or other like reaction or radioactive force or matter.
12) Loss or damage or expense directly, or indirectly, caused by or
contributed to, by or arising from; any chemical, biological or
electromagnetic weapon.
The use or operation, as a means for inflicting harm, of any
computer, computer system, computer software program, computer
virus or process or other electronic system.
13) Loss or damage in respect of goods by or resulting from acts of
terrorism or any person(s) acting from a political motive.
14) Loss, destruction or damage directly occasioned by pressure
waves caused by aircraft and other devices traveling at sonic or
supersonic speeds.
15) Any damage or loss of owner packed affects from collision or
overturning of road vehicles.
Claim notification ( inc. time limits )
All claims arising from contracts with Extons Removals must be
notified in writing within 7 days of delivery to the property
to:-

Excess
We do not accept responsibility for the first £ 100.00 of every
claim for loss and damage covered by this insurance.
Acceptance of terms and conditions
I hereby understand that I accept these terms and conditions
unless I notify Extons Removals to the contrary. |
